Exhibition Open to the Public

October 1 2025 - February 28 2026

600 South Michigan Avenue

Building Hours Monday - Friday

10am - 6pm

In partnership with the 2025 CAB, this exhibition features student work from Columbia College Chicago's Interior Architecture program, responding to the theme: "Shift: Architecture in Times of Radical Change." Through speculative projects and site-specific investigations, students examine the evolving role of design in more just, accessible, and ecologically responsive environments.

This is more than an academic showcase. It's a collective invitation to reconsider who architecture is for, and who gets to participate in its making. Students grapple with critical cultural, social, and environmental issues as they explore how space operates as a site of identity, power, and transformation.

Set in the Community Engagement Hub at Columbia College Chicago, the exhibition is intentionally street-facing and community oriented, designed to engage a broader set of voices beyond the design discipline. With large-scale windows and a central location to the South Loop, the exhibit aims to be approachable, reflective, and rooted in the city it serves.

The exhibition represents a student-led vision for architecture in radical times...one that prioritizes access, agency, and collective action in shaping our future...

The exhibition is part of a series of CAB partner projects at the College including, The Wabash Arts Corridor: Shifting Perspectives in the South Loop.
